Social Workers for Assessment, Children in Care, Care Management and Leaving Care teams - East London - Local Authority

Salary range: £32,628 - £38, 229 and a variety of impressive training and development opportunities.


We have a range of positions in London with excellent conditions for UK-experienced children’s social workers.


The offer includes a £5,000 Welcome Allowance and £15,000 Retention Allowance, paid on the third year anniversary, for all positions. Ofsted 2018 inspection states that staff report a supportive culture, with open access to management. Key worker housing provided at reduced rental rates of between 65% and 80% market value (terms and conditions apply).


You must have 2 years post qualification experience in one of the key areas stated above (Assessment, Children in Care, Care Management and Leaving Care) and be HCPC registered.

In the assessment team you will be responsible for timely, effective and targeted assessments of children and families.

In the children in care team you will undertake key work, assessing, advising and supporting children and families in need, alongside colleagues in health, education and targeted family support services.

In the care management team you will address and resolve welfare concerns, working closely with the assessment team.

In the leaving care team, you will work with young people ensuring they have the ability, support and information to live independently.
